Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Technician Located in Watertown, SD
The Watertown Power Plant (WPP) is a peaking power plant, which utilizes a Turbo-dyne fuel oil turbine to generate power. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing the WPP to ensure it sustains the highest level of operating status. Other responsibilities include supporting and/or maintaining of future remote generating assets such as solar, wind and battery storage facilities. The O&M Technician works primarily Monday through Friday, primarily days and is required to be on call 24 hours/day on a rotational basis. The primary work location is in Watertown, SD. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Senior Resource Engineer. Key job responsibilities include: Operates the WPP and associated equipment for energy production.
