Chatham University is seeking applications for a full-time visiting assistant or associate professor of applied data science analytics for our IACBE accredited business and entrepreneurship department. The appointment will start in August 2019 and last for two academic years (August 2019 – May 2021). Teaching responsibilities will include some combination of the following undergraduate courses: introduction to data science, data visualization & communication, machine learning and artificial intelligence, advanced database systems, introduction to programming, integrative capstone, systems analysis & design, and other courses, as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D. or its equivalent, in a data science analytics or related field (e.g., data science, data analytics, information systems, computer science, operations management). The visiting assistant or associate professor will be required to teach six courses per year, and provide service to students and the Chatham academic community. Primary service will include supervising internships and assisting in advising students in collaboration with other-faculty. Research is not required of visiting faculty, but promotion of scholarship and interdisciplinary engagement with fellow faculty is welcomed and encouraged.
